Another Mash Up

I dont usually stick to one design on my nails, I like to test which ones I like, which ends up with loads of different ones.
So using my nude Topshop colour (which I'm obsessed with) some black Barry M and white, I did a sort of geometric triangle, stripes, half leopard print, geometric stripes, and a bow.

I always think the leopard comes out nice and I love the triangular patterns.
I can just never decide on one!
curse of being a libra..

Christmas Nails No.4 - Half and Half Sparkle

I love this design, red and gold with white and silver.
The gold is Barry M, who retweeted when I posted this and tagged them!
Such an easy design, half the nail one colour, half the nail another and use your black pen tool to squiggle in the centre!

Christmas Nails No.3 - Presents, Tree, Dots and Sparkles

I did these quite a while ago, but forgot to post them!
Not my best but quite christmassy!

A bit of Stray news!

A few cool things happened this week, unfortunately not for the blog, but for my nails I guess!
Firstly my christmas nails from yesterday were retweeted by Grazia for manicure monday.
I then started getting followed by Barry M!

Exciting stuff, moving up in the world of nails!

Christmas No.2 - Candy canes, snowmen and Glitter

Here is my second design for my Christmas themed nails! There will probably be a lot of these! I used a white base and shimmery red striper to create the candy cane stripes.
I then painted pale blue with white blobs for the snow man using my dotting tool. I have him some arms, buttons and a hat with my black striper.
My ring finger is my favourite, red shimmer with gold Barry M glitter, I might do a whole hand in this!
So it's a bit of a mixture today to test out the designs, but stay with me for more of these cute Christmas designs!

Christmas No.1- Snowflakes

Here is my first Christmas nails of the season! I saw these cute snowflakes on Pinterest and had to try them! I used a shimmery blue by Barry M and a white striper to create the pattern, love it!

Falsies and Topshop

I bought this 'Mannequin' Topshop Nail varnish the other day and decided to treat myself by putting it onto some falsies.
I then drew these cute little hearts with my black pen.
I love the colour, nice and nude.
The sparkle just added a bit extra, I kept these on until they fell off!
If you like this design, feel free to get in contact so I can make you your own!

Kisses

This design is so cute!
Little pink lips, done with a red nail pen, a crackle nail as well as half and half with sparkle.
The lips were taken from the WAH nail book I blogged about a while back.

Stripey Stripes

I've been practising my stripes using my stripers and here are a few designs I've come up with!
Geometric patterns and shades of pink with white verticals.

Happy Movember!

Its the start of November (depressing) which means its the month in which all grown men grow moustaches, originally meant to raise money for charity, but now a humorous test for manliness.
However, I have done these Movember nails, in honour of this event.
I did them using black and white pens over a base coat.
Surprisingly simple to do and there are tons of tutorials online to show you how.
If I had enough time (hopefully a possible idea for next year) I would put these designs onto fake nails, sell them, and give the proceeds to charity.
So girls could be part of Movember too!

Neon Mani

I did these using my neon pens, just painting the tips.
I prefer the yellow which I'm going to try on a full hand.

Generic Halloween Nails

I did these last night whilst bored watching the Sixth Sense.
They were quite rushed but turned out alright!
I did every nail different, I hope you can tell what they are.
I did them using black, white, orange and green base colours and black and white stripers/pens.
Its amazing how easy they were to do!
The cob web is my fave.

WAH Nails Nail Art Book Inspo

Some friends gave me 'The WAH Nail Book of Nail Art' (available from River Island) for my birthday which is an ideal gift!
The book has so many ideas and inspiration in it.
I couldn't decide on one design so I tried a few and I love how it turned out as a mixture.
I did all of them using a base coat and my black and white striper and pen tools.
I love the bow, although hard to do left handed! And the flowers, they are different from my usual ones so I love how they turned out!
Can't wait to try out more designs from WAH nails.

Sparkly Sparkle

This picture is shoddy quality but you get the idea!
I bought gold sparkly polish from barry M the other day, and this is how it turned out!
I painted on a black base coat and then applied the gold to the tips, graduating less further up the nail.
I love the effect so much.
Definitely going to do this again with different colours!

Half and Half

This style is popping up every where, and yet again, its really easy to do!
Paint half your nail a plain colour, I used purple. Then paint the other half glitter. The line doesn't have to be neat because your going to go over it.
Either using a black precision pen or a dotting tool, paint squiggly lines down the centre of the nail.
Put on a top coat and its done.
Its a really nice effect and can be done in all sorts of ways.

Cath Kidston inspired nails

I did these by applying a base coat, adding a straight white line in the middle, dotting white along the line, and then adding flowers. They are done by randomly dotting large dark pink, and lighter smaller pink dots on top. Add some little leaves with a brush and enjoy your cath kidston style nails!

Pink Glitter and Hearts

I bought this pink sparkle nail polish from Claire's Accessories, only £2.50! Bargain.
And I drew white hearts using my small dotting tool and white No.17.
I love the effect, it looks really girly! A bit too girly!

Panda and Dots

I love this little panda design. Done on the tip of the nail using white with a brush and black detail with a little brush.
To make sure it wasn't too busy with panda's I did white bases with black dots on the other nails.

Palm Tree Sunsets

This picture quality is shocking but here are my most recent nails.

Gradient pink to orange to yellow, with palm trees painted over the thumb and ring finger.

Managed to do this on both hands which I was pleased with!

Hope you like!

Colourful Gradients and Mixed designs

People need to understand how simple it is to do gradients!

Yes, it can get messy but to get a look this effective? who cares!

I love all the different colours fading into each other, and the designs on top just give it something extra.

I'm definitely going to try this again with the same design on each nail as this can look a bit busy, I can just never decide on one thing!

Pink Hearts and Sparkle

I love this sweet and simple design.

I did base colours of different shades of pink, finishing with white on the pinky. Then using a contrasting colour, did the hearts using a small dotting tool.

The sparkly nail on the ring finger just brakes up the pattern a bit more and makes the design even more girly!

Rainbow Dots

I did these using a dotting tool and tape to do the line at the bottom.

They remind me of an artists painting palette, love the bright colours.

Spotty Clusters

These were inspired by some nails I saw on a nail board on Pinterest (below).

I did the base coats and then did the spots using a dotting tool.

Its so simple and easy to do and looks quite effective, love them!

Black to Metallic Gradients

Not my best set but I did these to match a dress I was wearing this weekend!

I painted a base coat and black, then rolled silver and metallic green over the tips.

I Love NY

I did these for my friend who went to New York for a trip.
I used my black and red nail tools for the lettering and I hope she liked them!

Cherry blossoms in Lilac and Mint

These are so simple to do!

After applying a base and colour coat I used a dotting tool (use a tooth pick if you don't have one) to do the darker pink, with smaller, lighter pink dots on top and then fill in the gaps with white dots.

Really effective and lovely for the last dose of summer!

Festival Nails

I'm going to a festival this weekend and these are the nails I decided to do!

They are pretty simple so I am able to do them on both hands (unskilled left hand)

I used a sponge to do the gradient red/orange/yellow and green nails, then did patterns over the top, leopard print and a peace sign, with a black tool and left the ring finger a plain metallic to break it up a bit.

Hope you like them, have a good weekend guys!

Summer Doodling

I have a few days to kill on my nails before I do them properly for a weekend festival so I just played around with doing different designs on my new orange colour with a black tool.

I seriously need to learn how to do it on my right hand!

Hello Kitty Nails

My little cousin loves Hello Kitty, so when I told my Auntie I could do the design on nails, she had me do them for her, my cousin loved them!

the pinky went a bit wrong!

Hello Kiko

Hi Guys,

I've recently done a post about the Italian brand Kiko on my other blog.
It's mostly about nail varnishes so if you fancy a look click here!

Paisley Patterns

Whilst in Spain I've also done these nails for my sister.
The pattern is a bit busy, maybe it would have looked nicer on just one nail, but I love all the different colours with the paisley on top.

It's quite simple to do with a white nail tool and I followed a design that I found on Pinterest.
